78 year old painter and filmmaker Ulrike Ottinger looks back on the beginning of her artistic work in Paris of the 1960s. She revisits the places that were important to her and shows old and new, documentary and fictional footage - from Méliès‘ LE VOYAGE DANS LA LUNE to images of brutal police violence against peaceful Algerian demonstrators to the ‘68 movement - assembling them into a smart, filmic collage, supplemented by poetry, theater scenes, concert footage, and her own artwork from back then.
