In Sudan's first submission to the Academy Awards, Sakine is struggling with the knowledge that her son Muzamil has been prophecied to die at the age of 20. His whole life is marked by fear and bullying, with only his best friend Naiema standing by him. Hope comes from an unexpected direction when Muzami finds out that in other parts of the world, people's lives are less controlled by their religion.
