After her family is wiped out in a mob-hit, 14-year-old Matilda (Natalie Portman) finds a friend in Leon (Jean Reno), the killer living next door. All he has to do is teach her how to have her revenge.
The solitary but highly efficient hitman Leon (Jean Reno) teams up with his neighbour, 12 year old Mathilda (Nathalie Portman), after her family was wiped out in a mafia hit. He is supposed to show her the ropes of "cleaning" so she can have her revenge on bent cop Stansfield (Gary Oldman) who is behind the hit.
