Pietro Breccia has long since decided to abandon civilization and become a hermit, leaving behind all the contradictions and hypocrisies of modern life and consumerism. For years he has lived alone on Mount Soratte near Rome, but one day his tranquility is interrupted by the arrival of a TV crew that sniffs out the scoop. From then on, there`s no peace for poor Peter, who is even forced to go down to Rome, as the sudden notoriety has confronted him with years of nonpayment of taxes during his hermitage.
