After getting injured in a traffic accident and spending 28 days in a coma, bike courier Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakes in a London that seems deserted and ruined. But it is not. Roaming the streets are the Infected, humans exposed to an experimental virus that makes rage their only emotion. Teaming up with more experienced survivors, Jim makes his way towards the Manchester to find the source of a transmission promising shelter and safety.

The soundtrack by John Murphy draws heavily on the post-rock of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and one track in particular has been sampled in a variety of other trailers.
