One World Berlin: Focus on US elections

In the run-up to the US election in November, >Lichtblick Kino is screening films focusing on voter suppression and campaign financing, followed by discussions with experts on those subjects.
On September 28th, things kick off at 8pm with a screening of RIGGED: THE VOTER SUPPRESSION HANDBOOK (2019). The documentary examines the ways and dirty tricks US right-wing groups have employed to hinder young voters and those from ethnic minorities voting.
After the screening, journalist Axel Bussmer (Humanistische Union Berlin-Brandenburg) is chairing a discussion with the film's producer Mac Heller, as well as Doug Hillmer (population statistician) and Jon Oberg (former staff member at the US Senate).

On October 13th (8pm), Alexandra Pelosi's documentary MEET THE DONORS: DOES MONEY TALK? (2016) interviews those donating large amounts to election campaigns, asking them about their philosophies as well as the reasons for their generosity. After the film, Axel Bussmer will chair another discussion.
