JFBB 2025

The Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg will take place in Berlin, Eberswalde, Oberhavel, and Frankfurt/Oder. As always, the feature film and documentary competitions provide insight into current Jewish filmmaking worldwide, and film series have thematic and historical focuses. The opening film is the comedy BAD SHABBOS by Daniel Robbins, where a family dinner gets out of hand after a death. Also in the program: MIDAS MAN, a biopic about Brian Epstein, the Beatles manager, BLUM: MASTERS OF THEIR OWN DESTINY by Jasmila Žbanić about Holocaust survivor and businessman Emerik Blum, and THE GOVERNER by Danel Elpeleg about the arbitrary political acts of her grandfather as governor of an Arab village shortly after the founding of the State of Israel.
