BLOODYMINDED: Interactive Feature Film

In order to bury the ashes of her great-grandfather, who was a conscientious objector during the First World War, SJ breaks into a military base. All of the sudden she is surrounded by ghosts who force her to question what she knows and believes about war, ethics and violence.

Created by the group Blast Theory, BLOODYMINDED is meant to be the first European fully interactive film. Shot in one continuous take and and transmitted to homes and cinemas in real time, the film allows its audience to interact with it. Using a special mobile app, they can ask qustions and tell the ghosts of the Great War about moments when they themself have been violent.

In these two hours a pan-european conversation is created, comprised of the tales of those who did not wish to fight and a Europe which has been (more or less) peaceful for the last few decades but is now showing signs of stress and division again.
