Hundreds of them protested in the streets against Nazi-government – they were the first and only ones in the whole country. And they are the forgotten ones.

Only 80 years later a small theater tries to commemorate these village’s people: They plan a huge play on the first resistance against Hitler with over 150 amateurs on stage.

One of them is the daughter of a resistance fighter back then. For her it’s a duty to finally be able to honor her father and his efforts. For her it’s a journey back into the life of her father.

For the enormous theater project and the other actors the problems rise with the lack of time, money and the hard rehearsal circumstances. It seems to be a nearly unwinnable task. But they try it – against all odds.
