The sinking of the ocean liner Titanic on April 15th 1912 provides the background for a love story between upper-class Rose (Kate Winslet) and working-class scoundrel Jack (Leonardo Di Caprio). There is drama, there are chases, there are spectacular effects of a boat sinking and there is Billy Zane being villanous and Kathi Bates being sassy.

The 2012 version has been converted to 3D and the 2023 re-issue is now presented in 48 frames-per-second, so it no doubt looks amazing. The seeds for AVATAR were sown here but TITANIC actually has a real story.
