As the future king George IV. Bertie (Colin Firth) is expected to make frequent public speeches. But this is a torturous affair for the shy prince. With nothing else able to cure his ailment, the palace calls for the unconvential speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush). Logue's approach actually manages to get Bertie more confident in front of the microphone.
