In April of 2024 a group of students at Columbia University (New York) set up tents to demonstrate their solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. As this also included protesting against their university's involvement in the american arms industry, their were soon faced with threats, accusations of antisemitism and pressured to disband their ENCAMPMENTS.
