The 14-year-old Gopinath Chavhan dreams of rub himself in with the scent of Kastoori, an Indian
musk, the divine fragrance found in the mythological stories of the Hindus that he likes to hear. Gopinath belongs to a family from the lowest caste and supports his alcoholic father in his work in digging up corpses and cleaning toilets. He would like to get rid of the smell on his clothes.
