Counterculture classic about two drug-dealing bikers (Fonda and Hopper) travelling across the country. At many of the places they stop, they are met with hostility and violence but at others, they meet more friendly faces. One of them, a "square" lawyer (Nicholson) decides to join them and gain insight into the state of and the changes affecting the USA at the end of the 1960s.
