The first adaptation of the Stoker novel starring Christopher Lee as the Count established many of the characteristics now automatically associated with the Count, like wooden stakes and fangs. But also Jimmy Sangster's film introduced a greater amount of sexuality and significant amounts of brightly red blood, the so-called Kensington Gore.
