Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is just a humble construction worker married to a stunning wife (Sharon Stone). But at night Quaid is haunted by dreams in which he dies horribly in the atmosphere of Mars. When he tries to investigate the issue by taking a virtual holiday something goes wrong and suddenly Quaid is being chased by some very real bad guys, but also findshimself very capable of taking them out. The plot thickens, he gets a message from a familiar face and Quaid gets himself to Mars. Is he really the leader of a rebellion or is it all just a psychosis from the "Rekall" procedure?

Very violent scifi action directed by Paul Verhoeven at the height of his Hollywood game.
