Punk was stagnating at the end of 1977. The supposedly radical youth were more focused on their leather jackets and finding the perfect safety pin than actual content. The Sex Pistols had already said „fuck“ on live TV and Sid Vicious was spit on by hundreds of fans. This is where Grand McPhee’s documentary BIG GOLD DREAM (2015, OV, English) begins as he delves into the post-punk era in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Along with the story of the label and the bands there are also witness account, like musicians from New Order, Strawberry Switchblade, Joseph K or Human League.
