25 Horas by Carlos Barba / Cuba – 2017 - Short / Cuba 2014. Hilda is an emigrant who cares for her sick father in the Havana neighborhood of El Vedado. Her actions -and her disenchantment- makes us suppose a daily mimicry that crushes and saddens her, in a day that seems to last more than 24 hours. Her father got a purpose, but she has a longing. Everything happens on December 17, the historic date on which the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States is announced. //

Oslo by Luis Ernesto Doña / Cuba – 2012 - Short / Raúl and Amanda, an elder couple, live in the middle of the hot Cuban countryside. The senile and fading Amanda is obsessed with seeing snow. Raúl will do everything for her dream to come true. The chilly end to this love story is as inevitable as it is tragic. //

Que Remedio? Las Parrandas by Daniela Muñoz Barroso / Cuba - 2017 - Feature – Documentary / Remedios is a small city in the center of Cuba. There, the whole year spins around December 24th. On that day take place the Parrandas, one of the traditional festivities most popular in the island. Two city districts compete in dressing up floats, plaza works and fireworks. El Carmen and San Salvador thus dispute for the first place during a long night where by dawn there will be no winner. Throughout almost two centuries the “parranderos” have confronted diverse adversities to keep their tradition. Today they are seeking for ways to stop the decline of their festivity. Will the strength of will, passion and ability to invent be enough to achieve this?
