Grant Baldwin's documentary THIS MOUNTAIN LIFE focuses on horizontal rather than vertical movement*. A mother-daughter teams spend half a year on foot, wandering from Vancouver (Canada) to Skagway (Alaska), an artist creates intricate images of snowflakes with his footprints, and three friends reminisce about the time they were buried by an avalanche.

Leaving behind the mountains for the windswept plains of Charlottenburg, Grant Baldwin is going to be in attendance at the Filmkunst66 on 25th of March at 8.30pm. After the film there will be an opportunity to ask him about the film, Canada and life on a mountain-face.



*Friends of vertical climbing only have to wait until the 21st of March when FREE SOLO hits cinemas.
