The Festival of Animation is bringing contemporary animated films to City Kino Wedding for the fifth time on October 1st-3rd. The competition is made up of short film programs with categories like “German Animation,“ “International Animation,“ “New Talents,“ “New Series“ and the new category “Commissioned Work“ for artistic promotional films. In addition, there are other animation film festivals and schools in the guest program. The Lisbon Film Festival is presenting the RITUALS program and the Big Cartoon Festival Moscow is screening a selection of animated films for teenagers in ANIMATION FOR TEENS FROM RUSSIA. There will be networking events, masterclasses, and workshops focused on character design, stop motion, puppet-making, and storyboarding. It‘s a real enrichment for Berlin‘s festival year.
