32nd Jewish Film Festival Berlin-Brandenburg

The JFFB is the largest German festival dedicated to Jewish themes and films from Israel, and almost all of the screenings will be accompanied by film talks. The 32nd edition shows around 60 films in venues in Berlin, Potsdam, and other cities in Brandenburg. The focus is the competition for features and documentaries – like Jesse Ziegelstein’s laconic comedy NEGATIVE CAPABILITY about a literature lecturer in a midlife crisis and Dan Sturman’s documentary THE STAMP THIEF in which a group of Jewish Hollywood writers go searching for a stamp collection that is supposed to be in a Polish basement. The program Nosh Nosh shows shorts and the Nordic Jewish focus takes a look at the Jewish past and present in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
