Ariel, a young venezuelan woman, is taking care of her mother who is suffering from cancer. Her whole life, she has been trying to fulfill her mothers moral concept regarding a typical female role until she discovers that she was born intersex and apparently underwent several surgeries as a baby to conform her ambiguous genitalia. Feeling cheated on her identity for life, she’s looking for forgiveness and freedom. Being Impossible is a sensitive movie about gender identity and autonomy about one’s own life.
