The Woman King
Historical drama about the leader of an African country training an all-female squad to defend their home from a neighbouring nation.
In the West African kingdom of Dahomey in 1823, General Nanisca, fres women from slavers to form an all-female group of warriors, the Agojie. When the king of a neighbouring country prepares for war, Nanisca begins to train a new generation of warriors to protect the kingdom.
