Filmmaker Jeanie Finlay gives us an intriguing insight in her documentary which depicts Freddy’s journey, a trans man, to fulfill his deep desire to become a parent. Even If It means that he has to carry the child himself. Over the course of three years, we get to follow Freddy from preparing for the pregnancy to conceiving, dealing with challenges regarding this demanding experience and society’s understanding of gender, parenthood, family and masculinity to actually giving birth.
