19 year old ballet dancer Clarissa (Shannon Tarbet) wants to realize her dead mother‘s dream of opening up a bakery in London‘s Notting Hill together with her grandmother, the former trapeze artist Mimi (a pleasantly laconic Celia Imrie), and her mother‘s longtime friend Isabella (Shelley Conn). What‘s missing is someone who can actually bake, but that is soon remedied when Matthew (Rupert Penry-Jones), her mother‘s great lost love, suddenly appears on their doorstep and applies for the job. Though their stories remain rather superficial, the cakes and tarts made by Israeli-British celebrity chef Yotam Ottolenghi are a feast for the eyes.
