Documentary filmmaker Jacquelyn Mills watches ecologist Zoe Lucas who has been living on a remote Nova Scotia island for years, mostly on her own. Lucas has been watching the flora and fauna of the island but also documenting the amount of plastic rubbish that can be collected on the beach every day. The artistic endeavours of the two women complement and inspire each other.
