The habitat of the drokpa (Tibetan word for nomads) is disappearing with the rapidly advancing devastation of the grasslands. The socio-political upheavals and climate change are exerting massive pressure on the community. The detailed observations of the everyday life of a family tell a deeply personal story and at the same time illustrate universal questions of gender roles, freedom, adaptability and the resilience of the human spirit.
