Silent drama about the carriage of death whose driver for the next year is whoever dies last in the current one. When drunkard David is hit over the head with a bottle during a drunken brawl, he is taken in by the carriage, whose driver is his old friend Georges. Georges tells David about the circumstances that brought him to be Death's coachman.
