A filmmaker named Bertrand is in a creative crisis. While conducting research in a funeral home, a mishap leads to him spending the night in a coffin. What he felt there, he yearns to find again. He follows an unknown man into a remote castle, where Uma (Asia Argento) preaches joy, ecstasy and lust to her followers by military means and reads from Clausewitz’s “On War.” Bertrand lets himself go and rethinks his life, his artistic work, his relationships. The search for a place where radical utopias are possible is at the center of this audacious, downright anarchic film.
