Emily Elizabeth is gifted a bright red puppy by the mysterious Mr. Bridwell (John Cleese). Overnight the little red dog grows to humongous size which makes Emily's days very exciting as she takes Clifford for a walk across New York. But somebody far more sinister has also noticed the dog and has his own plans with him.
