Growing up in Thatcher-era Luton is already tough for Haved (Viveik Kalra). The racist skinheads are out to vent their frustrations on him and his own father isn't too enthusiastic about Havek's plan of becoming a poet or a professional author. Only when he gets hold of a tape by Bruce Springsteen does Haved feel like someone is understands him. But it's a long way from Luton to Philadelphia, and not just physically.
