Originally made in order to push the competing Cleopatra Jones franchise out of the market, the film, and nurse “Coffy“ Coffin, who wants to avenge her sister‘s death, turned protagonist Pam Grier into a genre icon. The evening will end with DISCO GODFATHER (1979), one of the countless imitations with cult star Rudy Ray Moore.
