When Barbara (Geena Davis) ad Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) tragically die, their new existence of ghosts takes a little getting used to. But when a new family moves into the Maitlands' old home, they have to do their spookiest to get rid of them. Unfortunately, as only the family's goth daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) can see them, all their scare tactics turn out futile. So maybe it is time to bring in the big guns: famed but very unpredictable bio-exorcist Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton).
